About

Situated in the heart of gorgeous Southern California, Jessica Bennett Interiors is a full service residential interior design firm with one mission in mind: put the client (and their budget) first to create a comfortable yet sophisticated home to suit their needs. Known for a style that reflects her constantly discerning eye, Jessica Pakzad Bennett, is committed to delivering designs that are fresh yet timeless, livable yet tailored, and above-all, completely authentic to the client who has trusted her with their most personal space.

Spending her childhood and teen years tagging along with famed designer-builder parents, Fari and Melinda Pakzad, Jessica undoubtedly knew one day she would follow in their designing footsteps: “My parents are not only incredible artists, but also my business heroes and most-trusted mentors. It is because of them that I am blessed with both an eye for design and a brain for business.”

Jessica attended USC’s Marshall School of Business, graduating Magna Cum Laude with an emphasis in Entrepreneurial Studies. Throughout college, Jessica worked at family-owned, Ebanista, a nationwide chain of high-end to-the-trade home furnishings showrooms ultimately taking over as their Business and Operations Manager where she resided for four years. “My experience at Ebanista was invaluable – it taught me so much more than a formal design education ever could and is the reason I am able to do what I do now.”

Always wanting to one day open her own design firm, Jessica combined her skills in small business and design to establish Jessica Bennett Interiors with the goal of making quality interior design accessible to young professionals and families. Breaking the myth that professional design service is only for their parents’ generation, Jessica excels at maximizing the potential hidden in each of her client’s homes…leaving them with a place they can live, love, work, and play in ultimate pride and comfort.

The White T-Shirt Philosophy

Have you ever walked through Bloomingdale’s and seen a plain white T-shirt from Gucci, Prada, or Fendi selling for $200? You know, the same exact T-shirt you can find at Target or American Apparel for one-tenth of the price?

The added benefits of a $200 white T-shirt (if there are any) are not going to affect your outfit or better yet, people’s perception of your outfit, any more than the $20 shirt would, so why pay more just to pay more?

While it is imperative for my clients to invest wisely in staple pieces (a good quality sofa is a non-negotiable), it is just as imperative that I maximize their budget with intelligent alternative pieces without compromising taste or quality. In most instances, the end result is not only the same, but even better.

At the end of a project, when the client and I can both feel satisfaction that we transformed their home, not based on the principals of high-end labels and designer names, but on the principals of visual and financial creativity, we know the White T-shirt philosophy was at work.

Amir, Brentwood, CA

“Jessica did the most amazing job on my family room. After years of trying, I was completely lost in how to remodel a room to get the "vibe" I wanted. Jessica walked right in, looked at some of my favorite things, magazine tears and spent time discussing my love of elegance versus my need for durable with two small children. Within a few weeks she presented me with an unbelievable vision of what my family-room could look like affordably and elegantly. The work quickly began without a hiccup. We LOVE our new room. It is comfortable, functional, durable and elegant. Her fabrics choices are unreal. Her ability to create the "right" space is uncanny. Her prices are reasonable. My kids even love her!”
Mia, Costa Mesa, CA

“Jessica was a valuable resource in helping us put together a game plan for our living room. She kept the process very simple and did an excellent job of working within our budget. Jessica asked for our input throughout the entire process, and somehow managed to deliver a look that was exactly what we asked for. We finally have a living space that we can be proud of and couldn’t have pulled it off without Jessica’s knowledge and experience. So far, the first words from our guest’s mouths are, ‘I love what you did with your living room.”
Felipe, Carlsbad, CA

“I moved into a new apartment and needed it furnished. Jessica met with me and listened to a few ideas I had. She then decked the place out top to bottom without any effort on my part. The place looks great, and I get to appreciate her work every time I come home. Thank you Jessica!”
